Silver Spitfire G-IRTY

The Silver Spitfire (Mk. IX) that circumnavigated the Earth in 2019. The Spitfire needs no introduction and is always a pleasure to paint. I particularly enjoyed trying to recreate the metallic effects of the Silver Spitfire along with it's beautiful shape.

Oil on MDF panel, 330mm height x 500mm width, matt varnish.
