This scene is inspired by a painting called 'Rushing River' by Michael James Smith. Michael is an excellent artist and you can view his work on Instagram and YouTube. He gives excellent painting lessons. I added more distance and background than Michael's piece and made my own interpretation of the foreground. I also based the overall scene on my memories of the River Tweed in Scotland. Oil on MDF panel, 355mm height  x 500mm width. Please scroll down for more images.
